We are writing to address the concerns raised regarding the pine tree located on our construction site.
First and foremost, we want to assure the community that we are fully aware of the importance of this tree and the concerns residents have about its protection. We have taken extensive measures to ensure its safety and are strictly complying with the Tree Preservation Order (TPO).
The piling works on the site have been completed ahead of schedule and the concrete silo currently on-site is now removed. During the time the silo was on site, it was equipped with a drip tray and sheeting to catch any overflow of concrete, preventing any risk of seepage into the tree’s root system. The drip tray was being emptied frequently through the day to maintain its effectiveness. Additionally, the tree protection zone has been extended to provide additional safeguarding.
The Council has inspected all the protective measures we have put in place and has confirmed that we are compliant with the TPO. We are committed to maintaining these standards throughout the duration of our project. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we strive to complete the construction while ensuring the preservation of our community’s environment.
